Is my Personal Data private?
The fact that data has an immense value in today’s society is now common knowledge, and as technologies that capture and analyze data proliferate, so do businesses’ and states’ abilities to collect and exploit data. It is therefore fundamental that we ask ourselves whether our data is really private or not, and whether there are solutions available to gain access and complete control over it. In this “data gold rush”, laws have struggled to keep up, and it has too often been up to private firms to establish what is ethical and what is not, and act accordingly. This has led to the occurrence of several cases of misuse of personal data.

Educating people about the potential of medical data for the advancement of medical science, as well as on the possibility for the public to gain access to and donate their data to research, are fundamental parts of our mission to unlocking medical data for R&D. For those who are not familiar with EY, Ernst & Young is one of the Big Four accounting firms, it employs over 200,000 people and operates in over 150 countries. EY is acclaimed worlwide for its provision of audit, consulting, tax, business risk, technology and security risk services. In recent years, they have also made relatively significant advances into the blockchain world as well, providing smart contract auditing as well as general consulting services.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that both of our founders Wojciech Sierocki and Ligia Kornowska were today selected to be featured in Forbes’ Annual 30-under-30 list! Both Wojciech and Ligia were also featured in Forbes’ 25-under-25 list in the past, so this represents the second time they have been chosen amongst Poland’s top entrepreneurs, business and thought leaders.

Our company was features as Startup of the Month by SiliconRepublic – a tech publication based in Ireland! We’re honored to have been chosen to be featured, and hope that we’ll be able to bring consent-based medical data donation to the Irish people soon!
