Data Lake Update #3 – May 2022
Dear community and investors! The following is our third project update, a recap of what Data Lake has achieved in May and a hint on what’s coming next. After achieving important milestones with our data consent system development, rebranding Data Lake and securing the first data orders (check our previous updates to learn more), it was time to further expand our presence among institutional healthcare and blockchain-focussed entities, inaugurate our office and – most importantly – move substantially closer to completing our starting dream team.
What is the data economy and what part does Data Lake play in it
Data economy In 2002, with the beginning of the digital age, global information storage capacity increased exponentially as hard disks and servers with massive capacities replaced floppy disks and CDs. With this revolution came the data economy; being the global interest – mostly by public and private companies – to gather, organize, exchange and broadly create value from data.

At Data Lake, we’re leveraging the power of the blockchain in order to create a secure and transparent medical data donation system. But what is the blockchain? And what makes it the ideal technology for the system we are building? Let’s start from the beginning.
Data Lake Update #2 – April 2022
Our second update is here! Welcome to our new website with new visual identity! Data Lake is represented by the letter lambda, the 11th letter of the Greek alphabet, used as a symbol of wavelength. Indeed, Data Lake starts sending the first big waves through the health sector globally! The past month was spent mostly on business development, creating a strategic plan for the coming quarters as well as reorganising our marketing activities.
What is Data Lake?
Data Lake empowers you with the right to the usage of your own medical data in a safe, easy and transparent way, while providing substantial support for scientific research and medical studies. Unlike existing medical data systems that let third parties exploit your data without asking for your permission nor sharing direct benefits with you, Data Lake is a blockchain-based exchange that gives you power over your data, allowing you to give and revoke consent of whether and when to use your data, and to receive passively our token from it. The Data Lake mix has no precedent in history. It leverages the properties of the public blockchain to enable data access for research that was previously out of reach,

Data Lake Update #1 – March 2022
Dear Investors & Community! We are pleased to announce the publication of our first investor’s and community update, in which we will present you with the most important events of the recent weeks. We kindly invite you to read it! 1. We have finished the MVP of our system! No need to write, you just have to see it: This is what our medical data donation system will look like.
