We have reached an agreement with the first Data Provider!
It is with great pride that we hereby announce that a Medical Entity affiliated under one of the most prominent medical universities in Europe has formally signed an agreement to become our first Data Provider. This is a huge and very crucial step towards building a global network of Data Providers! Data Lake is a complete ecosystem rather than a singular flow of data, and the fact that new medical entities are enthusiastically embracing our values and joining our mission is yet another strong sign that the time has come to unlock medical data for scientific research and progress. Polygon: how it works and why we joined its ecosystem
Premise: Ethereum strengths and weaknesses Formerly known as Matic Network, Polygon was founded in October 2017 by Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal and Anurag Arjun. Polygon is a public blockchain capable of maintaining high efficiency when processing transactions, while keeping its network secure and decentralized.
How Data Saves Lives – The Case of Sepsis
What is sepsis Sepsis is one of the oldest known diseases – it was Hippocrates himself who gave it a name around 2,400 years ago. It is also one of the most deadly ones. Sepsis is responsible for more deaths annually than prostate cancer, AIDS and breast cancer combined. It has claimed the lives of millions of people (including two US Presidents and one Pope), and it now costs the US healthcare system more than $20 billion a year through insurance payments to doctors and hospitals1. Nevertheless, almost 60% of Americans have never even heard of it.

Data Lake has just been nominated as one of the Top Disruptors in Healthcare at the AI in Health conference held in Warsaw! Responsibility for algorithms, the use of AI in medical entities and the role of blockchain in health are among the main topics of the second edition of the AI in Health conference.
