Announcing the First LAKE.fun Project: Revolutionizing Dermatological AI Algorithms & Patient Recruitment.

We are thrilled to announce we’ll be kicking off 2025 with the launch of the first-ever project on the LAKE.fun platform! This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in decentralized, community-driven research. 

Starting January 2025, we’re launching a new project to enhance access to Dermatological AI algorithm available on the MedMetrix platform as well as clinical trials dedicated for patients with skin diseases – MedMetrix platform provides access to a cutting-edge technology that can analyze up to 73 skin diseases from a simple smartphone photo! It is a trusted source for certified AI-powered medical solutions, delivering reliable, personalized health insights.

Revolutionizing Dermatological AI Algorithms

The inaugural LAKE.fun project is centered around MedMetrix, a trusted source for certified AI-powered medical solutions. The algorithm available on the platform is designed to analyze dermatological and venereal conditions with remarkable accuracy, delivering results within seconds. This algorithm is a certified medical device, clinically tested, and approved for sale in the European Union.

The Goal

This project aims to:

  1. Improve UX/UI of the algorithm, which will result in better access to algorithm by thousands of patients through transparent, clear communication;
  2. enable access to clinical trials that may help patients with particular skin condition identified by the MedMetrix algorithm. This goal will likely be achieved in collaboration with the leading Polish CRO;
  3. In the long run, improve accuracy of algorithms thanks to the real-world data contributed by participants. By refining these algorithms, MedMetrix or technology partners of MedMetrix will seek to make diagnostic tools more accessible and reliable for healthcare providers and patients alike.

How It Works

  • Community members can participate in a Snapshot vote on the amount of $LAKE tokens that shall be contributed towards this research project, starting 7 January, 2024 at 15:00 CET and ending on 9 January, 2024 at 15:00 CET. All $LAKE holders are eligible to vote, while the voting power is determined by the amount of $LAKE tokens held in the wallet.
  • After the voting period is over and the project is listed on LAKE.fun, participants can sign up through the LAKE.fun platform to take part in this groundbreaking research.
  • After giving consent in the Data Lake Application to be included in the study, participants will receive a free AI algorithm analysis (valued at approx. 9-25 €).
  • Participants who complete the full research pathway will share a pool of an amount between 100,000 and 1,000,000 $LAKE tokens (worth approx. $1,000 – $10,000 at the time of writing), depending on the community vote, with a maximum limit of 2,000 PLN per participant.

This project not only accelerates advancements in dermatological AI but also exemplifies how decentralized platforms can democratize access to cutting-edge research.
